Borate Wood Treatments -
Using Bora-Care:
Single visit Pre-treat *
Solution is applied at dried-in stage of construction (after
all structural wood & sheathing is in place), but prior to
installation of insulation. Consists of application of
solution to all base plates and bottom two feet of all studs
on exterior/interior walls, including sheathing. Clark's
utilizes borate treatments primarily on slab construction
homes.
Liquid Treatments:For slab construction,
treatment is applied prior to slab being poured. For
crawlspace construction, liquid treatments usually require
three trips.
* Follow-up required if wooden members
are added in treated area
